Overall reflection by RaveenaCiao people Raveena here,
I have learnt a lot of things when I went for this trip. Firstly we went to Doha as it was our stop over we saw many tall buildings and went into a big mall. It was the biggest that I had ever seen. Next we went to Munich, Germany where we visited the Dachau Concentration camp were we learnt about the Holocaust. We found out how they ill treated the Jews. The Jews had no dignity or any status in that camp. People living near by did not have a clue what was happening there. Hitler gave them a positive image about the concentration camp. It gave the most impact as the place was the most touching in the whole trip as we learnt the consequences of racism. We went to the Neuschwanstein Castle and went to the Bad Aibling Gymnasium School where I had to dance I was scared at first but in the end everyone liked it. This also boosted my confidence level a lot.
We also went to many other places like the salt mine in Salzburg. Even though it was a short trip to Salzburg, it was a very memorable experience and the salt mines were not boring at all it was actually a lot of fun and excitement especially the 2 slides. Next stop Italy where we first went to Venice and then Rome. We went to the beautiful Venice city and learnt a lot about its History. There were a lot of nice statues and marvelous paintings. The best part was the Church it was so big and the atmosphere was so peaceful and calm. I have learnt a lot there. When I went Rome, we went to the Colosseum which was such a wonderful place. We also had Gelato which was tasty and visited Mt. Vesuvius which was worth the long climb as the scenery was so beautiful that I have no words to express it.
Visiting these places has been once in a life time opportunities which was fantastic. I felt that I have been there for only 2 days because time flied over there. I will never forget the cold weather the new friends I have made and the wonderful memories I have taken with me back to Singapore. I would like to thank Seng Kang Secondary and the teachers for making it possible for me to go and visit so many places. I would also like to thank all my new friends that have made this trip funny, exciting and memorable. Even though I had a fever for a day, I won't remember that I would only remember those places and you guys. So take care of yourself and drink lots of water!!! Get well soo!!! :)
