12:24 AM

PART 1
Hello peeps!

I'm Natasha. It's currently Friday, 12.25 am. Make a guess where am i.. I'm at the teacher's office. I'm actually here for a camp. 2D1N. I'll be late if i post it tomorrow. That's why i decided to borrow Miss Sem's lap top to complete my reflection.

Alright. I shall officially start sharing my reflections. When Mdm Koh first told us that there's this Humanities trip to Europe, i was thrilled. However, i didn't anticipate that I'll be keen about this trip. Out of curiosity, i applied for this trip. Come to think of it, a paper merely with printed words (consent form) was like the golden ticket. I'll come back to this again.

After so much deliberations, the teachers announced the final 16. I'm definitely thankful that I'm one of them.

We then started having pre-trip sessions during our vacation. I can recall one of the session vividly. It was the one when Mr Gavin shared with us some videos. Some of which, are about the Dachau Concentration Camp. Those videos act as an appetizer. Because after watching it, i couldn't wait to visit Europe & witness the camp. It was also one of the reason that convince myself to leave Singapore whole heartily as i know very well that it'll be a place worth visiting to.

On the plane, one thing I've learnt is to be independent. Because I'm too used to my friends or family deciding what I'll eat when there's choices to choose from. So from taking the planes, I've become less indecisive.

I shan't go into detail where I've visited in the different places. Or else, I'll be able to publish a book. But I'll generalise what I've learnt from some visits.

After gathering what had happened in the Dachau Concentration Camp, i truly believe that everyone of us should be grateful for everything. Very simple things like toilet & water. It may sound silly. But take a few minutes & think about it. We honestly neglect little things in life that we possess. Every morning after we wake up, we'll use the toilet. A toilet has been an everyday place everyone will go to. So much that we never comprehend the importance of it. So much that we never pay attention to it. When we're thirsty, we can get water everywhere to quench the thirst. Just imagine life without this 2 things. It plays a big role to our daily needs yet we never take notice of it. Let alone, appreciating it.
Singapore is a clean & safe country. Yet many are always whining about this & that. As we go around the world, we'll discover that we're very fortunate people. There's many others who are living in so much more agony physically & emotionally.
Besides that, I've also learnt that one has to stand clear of his/her stands & let it be known. Even if it means having to to make sacrifices. We shouldn't be doing nothing when we know someone else is doing wrong. A little mistake one make can inflict negatively to the world. Mr Dan told us a quote. I think it's meaningful. "Watch your words, it becomes your thoughts. Watch your thoughts, it becomes your habit. Watch your habit, it becomes your character."

We also visited the Neuschwanstein Castle. I've realised that everyone should have their goal & dream. Once it's decided, we should pursue it. There's this quote saying "Pictures speaks a thousand words." After visiting the castle, i kind of have another line to add on. Pictures speaks a thousand words. But experience speaks more than just a thousand words. The castle was stunning. We can always look at pictures of the castle or watch it from television. But witnessing it yourself is so much different. That's what I'm trying to convey.

After the school visit, I've learnt more computer skills though it's merely power point slides. The preparation about Singapore & our school has made me understand better about the country I'm living in & the school I'm studying in. Most importantly, I've learnt to project my voice though i still couldn't get the hang of it.

Climbing Mt. Versuvius was our last activity. It's not easy climbing up especially when we're wearing heavy clothes & the weather conditions were so much different. It was really cold. I've learnt that motivation, determination & persistence is crucial.

I've so much more to say. I'll post it another day because i think i side track & didn't answer the questions well.

Until then, take care! (:
