Self-Reflection

Photobucket
Ciao people! Ciao people! Ciao people! :B
Since we've completed the whole course of journey,
i guess it's time for us to voice out our reflection .
I really really love Europe this country .
It had always been one of my wish to visit an 'Angmoh' kind country.
I swear i've never been to such a cold country before .
The coldest country i visit was only 13 degrees celcius .
It was really great to experience a country which is only 4 degrees celcius . :)
Enough of all the crappings , i better get started with the main topic .
--
(beware to strain your eyes . HAHA (: )
From this trip , basically , i learnt many things , many many things .
Firstly, i learnt to be more independent, when we're sick , we have
to takecare of ourselves and not to rely on others .
Many things we have to depend on ourselves and not on others.
However, it was really very touching when your friends care for you.
Asking you to drink lots of water , apply your lip balm and stuffs .
It was really touching that a friend which you barely know for days
actually cares so much for you .

Secondly, another thing i've learnt is to always keep track of the time .
I dare admit at the first few days , we're really very slow .
and hence , we dragged the whole itinerary back .
Teachers were afraid that we can't finish the itinerary .
We reflected when we're back at our rooms and the next day, we kept
reminding one another, to walk faster .
through this , i know that it's not time that is racing with you.
it's you are racing with time .

Thirdly , to always spend money wisely .
during the third day , we were given 6 euros each
to settle our own lunch . we had to make our decisions clearly and
make sure we've made the right choice before we carry out with it .

Not only that, i also get to know many similarities and differences
between Singapore and Europe .
In Europe, they have this European Union (EU) to protect the bus drivers.
Bus drivers are not allowed to drive more than 12 hours per day .
If they drive more that 12 hours a day, they'll be fined .
That was really unique that i cannot find in Singapore .
The shop houses where all nicely lined at the sides in both countries.
However, the traffic in Europe or rather Rome was horrible!
Cars can just dash across you despite the green light flashing.
Not only that, cars are allowed to park along the roads .
which is Parallel parking, whereas in Singapore i don't see parallel parkings.
unlike the people in Singapore treat their cars like gems .
There's another thing that caught my attention when i first saw the
city of Germany and other countries .
their street walls were covered in grafftis, whereas in Singapore,
the street walls are so clean (mostly free of grafftis) !
Till now, I still don't get the reason why they like to draw grafftis on the walls .

Now i'll share with you my overall gains from this trip .
From the dachau concentration camp
- To always respect others religious beliefs and other races .
- Always remember you live for yourself & not for others .
- To live life to the fullest , and that's when you'll never regret it .

- To always have sense of urgency ,
(It's not time racing with you, is you racing with time.)
- To be independent and rely on yourself .
- If you think that you're unfortunate , you might be wrong .
There are even more people in the world who are even more
unfortunate as compared to you .
- No matter what happens, always look on the bright side of life .
- Don't let the history haunts you, let the present rock you! :)

I've really gained alot from this trip , i'll always remember every teeny-weeny bit
of happenings of this trip that we've completed together .
(It's not the place you're going, it's the people you're going makes the difference)
Quote from Mr Dan Yeo , our dearest tourguide .

I'll always remember this 10 days, and may we return 10 years later at the Trevi fountain .
Thank you all for making this trip a successful and fruitful one for all of us!
lastly , the teachers for giving us the opportunity .
& the 15 of you, who make this trip a kind of learning cum bonding trip!
