2 days into Pre TripHello,
think quite a lot of new info was introduced over the past 2 days. i think the Nazi's cruelty towards the Jew seen in the videos brought about a lot of questions and maybe even anger. I think some of you have never seen so many dead bodies (not in movies though) before. i hope u will not get traumatised but rather learn from this terrible tragedy that decisions people make, influences lives. especially so, when u are holding a position of high authority in the future. well, like what i said yesterday, i am just glad i'm not born a Jew, at that time and in that country.
2dae, we'll be having a session of video cam and camera handling skills. hope u guys will learn from the session too. see u guys in a while.

We had just watched the video of Holocaust atrocities. We saw Hitler's driscrimination towards Jews, homosexuals, mentally and physically disabled people.
Dachau was a Nazi German concentration camp, and the first one opened in Germany, located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory near the medieval town of Dachau, about 16 km (10 miles) northwest of Munich in the state of Bavaria which is located in southern Germany.
We felt pity for the Jews. The Germans had killed 6million Jews as Hitler wanted to destroy the Jews. Hitler is a very cruel person, ruthless and selfish because it is only his point of view.

We just watched a short clip by mr.gavin on how the races regarded as unworthy were treated at the concentration camps. We felt really disgusted by the way they treated them, at the same time sorry for the people that had died there. Hitler is unrealistic, crazy. We were also glad that we were not born as a Jew. The concentration camps were terrible!! We saw loads of bodies being stacked up like a can of sardines. Also, 6 million people were killed during that time!! More than what Singapore's population is! The living conditions at the camps were inhumane, even animals live in better conditions! The way the German used to kill the people there was also crazy, they used them as guinea pigs and place them in a gas chamber for them to die. They also killed so many people that there wasn't enough space for them to dump the bodies!
Signing off!

This is group 3 speaking,
Mr Lee just showed us 4 different videos.
These videos are about Dachau Concentration Camp,Jews,Nazis,Hitler and discrimination.
After viewing these videos, we had a better understanding of how people were treated and how life was back then during the World War II period. It was rather traumatising as this was our first time seeing such a cruel and disturbing scene. Never did we thought that things were this bad in the past. We are thankful that we were not born during the World War II living under such undesirable conditions. We sympathised with the way the Jews were treated by the Nazis. We look forward to visiting the Concentration Camp so that we would be able to get a better understanding.
To be continued......

Rojak's here.
Just finished watching the videos on Concentration camps.
After watching the videos, here is our reflections.
The victims were all Jews. They were discriminated by the German leader, Hitler. We could see the harsh conditions that the Jews were facing, they were all so skinny, only left with bones. Many died of hunger and disease. They did not get to bathe and do stuffs that we get to do everyday. Dead bodies can be seen almost everywhere such as the walking areas, gas chambers & underneath the ground. Many corpses were also not properly disposed. After watching the videos, we sympathise the poor & helpless victims. It remind us how fortunate we are & yet, not treasuring what we have. It also remind us the hardship our forefathers suffered. We feel devastated to know how everyone is being tortured. Yet, other parts of the world is still carrying out their own life. Hopefully, there will be world peace and that history will never be repeated again.
